So, I am finally ready to post my count. I have a total of 31 eggs set.

24 were set 1:00 PM Central time today April 3rd.

10 of them are CCL eggs- Shipped ones
9 Bantam Chocolate Wyandotte's- Shipped ones.
5 Whole Foods Fertile Brown Eggs

7 were set in a separate incubator on April 1st at 7:00 PM.
6 of them are Whole Foods eggs
1 of them a shipped CCL

Here is a picture of my 24 egg tray

Also, does someone know if CCL and Chocolate Wyandotte chicks can be feather sexed?

Thanks!
I think you are too late for these eggs to count for the Hatch a long the set date for chicken eggs was March 29 + or - 2 days so the latest would have been Monday the 31st for chicken eggs

chickenlisa, as I recall this cat has not been with you long but has obviously come to trust you in a short time, and may have been alarmed by the contractions in her belly and was looking for comfort. Hopefully by now she has settled nicely with her kittens. Keep an eye on them, as others have suggested, and if she keeps leaving the kittens to come out to you, sit with her a while with the kittens. Make sure she can easily reach food and water from her "nest" and you might offer her extras such as scrambled eggs to boost protein while she is busy making milk for her kittens. I have hand raised many kittens, and if you have the slightest doubt all kittens are getting adequate nutrition, go to the pet store and get a can or two of kitten milk just in case. I always prefer to feed with a syringe, but they can be taught to nurse from the tiny kitten bottles and nipples as well. Once opened it must be refrigerated.

Junibutt, CL pullets have chipmunk marks on their heads, very distinct, cockerels have white head spots similar to that on Barred Rocks and Dominiques. I don't know a lot about Wyandottes, but I don't think they are sexable at hatch.

Safe incubation is within those numbers:

This is from Brinsea. It is often better to simply post this stuff for all to see. It is from this pdf if you want to read the whole article

A review by H. Lundy of research carried out by a number of scientists over many years
identified five temperature zones each of which is characterized by its major affect on the
developing embryo. These zones are not clear cut. There is some overlapping and the time for
which the embryo is exposed and the age of the embryo blur the limits.
Lundy’s five incubation Temperature Zones:-

Zone of heat injury

Zone of hatching potential

Zone of disproportionate
development

Zone of suspended
development

Zone of cold injury
power.JPG

In common with most scientific work on incubation, this data assumes an incubator with a fan
(virtually no temperature differences within the incubator) and was based on chicken eggs.
These zones are further explained as follows:

Zone of heat injury (above 40.5°C/104.9°F)

At continuous temperatures above 40.5°C (104.9°F) no embryos would be expected to hatch.
However the effect of short periods of high temperature are not necessarily lethal. Embryos
up to 6 days are particularly susceptible, older embryos are more tolerant. For example,
embryos up to 5 days may well be killed by a few hours exposure to 41°C (105.8°F) but
approaching hatching time they may survive temperatures as high as 43.5°C (110°F) for
several hours.

Zone of hatching potential (35 - 40.5°C/104.9 - 84.5°F)

Within a range of 35 to 40.5°C (84.5 - 104.9°F) there is the possibility of eggs hatching. The
optimum (for hens) is 37.8 °C (100.4°F), above this temperature as well as a reduced hatch
there will be an increase in the number of crippled and deformed chicks. Above 40.5 °C
(104.9°F) no embryos will survive.

Thanks Ron! That makes me feel a lot better about my 98ºF - 102ºF variance in temps in my LG at different locations! Hopefully with the natural thermostat cycles the temps are really staying at a good average, and at least I know they are not getting high enough to kill embryos!

Pony Chickens! I must have some of those here somewhere! I've had emus before, but if they kept those black and white stripes, I would most certainly have them here for good. Here are some pictures of my son's d'Uccle chick. He bred a black/brown roo with a golden neck hen. We took some different photos of the chick for the chick contest! Hatched Monday, 3/31 Weren't we recently talking about penguins? Show that fluffy butt! This chick's middle toe on each foot is pink. She keeps looking at them and pecking at them hoping they are worms.
I just had one almost identical hatch. As far as I know mine is a barnyard mix. It may even be silkie or frizzle. I'm loving it's one pink toe on each foot. I will try to get some pictures uploaded. Also both of my Anconas have hatched as well as 3 other bantams. One has feathers on all 4 toes.

Oh what a beautiful morning!!!

We woke up to our foster cat Princess' 5 newly born kittens!!!! She did it all by herself and they are so precious!

5!!

She is letting them nurse, but got restless and shifted around so we would pet her when we went in the room where she is.She got up and babies dropped off her and ended up behind her when she turned around so we pet her..then she settled down again.. She was insistently pushy about that yesterday and I thought maybe she was just very uncomfortable. Understandably so! But I hope she stays put with them and ignores us pretty much soon. Should we leave her be, have alone time, today...I want those babies to have her full attention and proper beginning.Any advice from you experienced kitten folks? There are 2 dilute orange and whites, 2 gray and whites, and 2 dark gray with little white hairs over the top...like shimmery icing over the gray. I know the answer to this...but did she make them by herself? They are just her colors...gray, dilute orange, and white...lol

Here they are:
Leave her be and let them bond. I just LOVE orange and white cats. They have the best personalities!! Most likely boys too.

So tired.... dismantled and destroyed the transmission from our old Expodition today. Forgot how fast sludge hammer will wear you out. My back is killing me right now.. Took the sorted metals in for recycling, got over $90. for it. Not to bad for a days work... Finally able to sit down and relax for a little while.. Almost falling asleep here. Lol

Oh, for any in my neck of the woods, if you didn't hear from the news yet, the dog wordens are supposedly going door to door to make sure you have your liscense. I have not seen anyone but when I stopped in at Agway this afternoon they said they sold over 100 licenses today. I (ahem) was one of those... lol don't know why im always forget to get that...

Stay safe in the storms!

Prayers for the family...

Congratulations on the new kittens!

Hope everyone else had and has a good rest of the day! :)

Candled my eggs and it doesn't look good. I think most of them are infertile but I but most of them back because I want chicks really really badly.

My chickens just stink at making good chicks. LOL
