In Orange Vale, a city near Sacramento CA there is a Small animal exchange that meets during the spring and summer. It is very popular and the contact information is on Facebook.

Went out to the coop to feed and change waters and my d'Uccle roo decided he was going to start being all roo-like and protective of his ladies. Instead of hopping off the top of the waterer like he normally does, he decided to cock-fight me instead. This is the first time I have ever gotten injured from a rooster spur. I now know what it is that people say when they are scared of bantie roos. He was one mean dude!

Yeah, that was yesterday. Today, he got right down like normal. Huh, weird. He's my only d'Uccles roo and I need him...at least for now to make more. Probably sell him with the two breed standard ladies to some 4H kid later this year.

I feel sorry for the poor 4H kid. Make sure you disclose his attributes. You could be responsible for an eye

You can candle in place if they are in a turner. If they are on their side, you can still candle quickly by lifting the egg and putting the candler on the big end. You are looking for veining and air cell size.

It is good for them to cool down!

Thanks guys. I candled a few last night for the grandkids from both the brinsea and the new incubator. We actually got to see a couple move.

Hi, I had thought a very annoying, poorly timed power outage which made me a day late to set had knocked me out of the game, but a P.M. from BYC's wonderful team let me know that it was okay, so mark down my 14 hatch-a-long eggs please! I have a mixture of Ameraucana (BBS and Wheaten) SBELS and Swedish Flower Hen eggs.

Yay!

Candled my late eggs..to look for bullseyes..I'm seeing a lot! Now, if they can stay strong and start veining. Will probably candle a few in a few days, just to get an idea, then leave them until day 7. I just may get some chicks out of these! Woot! She does pack well!
