Did I mention I LOVE my Cabinet cooler incubator and the reg coolerbators!!!
I DO I DO I DO!!!!!!! AMAZING!!!

Moved some chicks to the brooder, ALL are BS FAVS so far and one CCL male it
They were filling up the coolerbator and I think we have about 15 more or so to go!
so they can breath now ha ha ha
all eggs have pipped or hatch except three, one brahma and two CCL are not pipped : (
I cannot complain, thats alot of chicks!

OMG! They are so stinkin cute! Cannot wait till mine hatch.

I can't believe it my tom was killed yesterday and i prayed that my hen would start laying so i could have a chance to get some fertile eggs. I just went out to her pen and there was an egg laying on the ground!!! Now i just pray that it is fertile.

I had an EE that would fly on my shoulder.

The singing incubator from hell strikes again, I just found it at 93 degrees for the last 6 hours.... are the last 4 eggs done for? Say it isn't so? No death song on the contraption.....

All you can do is keep trying and

Just to update: I just candled my eggs this morning and the results at 10 1nd 11 days into incubation

6 clear and 4 Blood-rings

45 still in incubator for now:

14 Lavender Ameraucana 1 not sure of but left in for now
18 Chocolate/Dun Laced Bantam Polish
5 Buff Bantam Polish
1 Khaki Bantam Polish
7 Araucana

I did not wish to take pictures of all so just a sample of some.

@Happy Chooks you got it. All out of recycled materials from my barn hopefully.

Last night, I candled the 93 eggs that I had set for the hatch. Only 16 out of 41 shipped eggs showed signs of development. A few had blood rings with no veining but most were neon clear. The eggs from my own birds were part of an experiment with a new turner that DH rigged up. They were older eggs because I just loaded it up with what I had. Only 22 out of 52 are developing. I knew that there was the chance that not all of them were fertile. My Pita Pinta cockerel is a busy boy but obviously not covering all the girls in his harem. I now know who isn't getting any loving! So my total eggs dropped from 93 to 38. It was so hard to throw that many eggs out! I candled the rejects 3 times and made my daughter confirm it.

Bummer. Hope the rest hatch for you.

Here are the chicks. I did not get a pic of eggs set. Now I wish I did cause this was the first time I have ever had 100% on a hatch. But I have so any split hatches. I keep adding eggs ...lol

when I went to spray my duck eggs(the one who were in when the turner quite ) I keep a metal spray bottle in the incubator keep water at right temp and acts as heat sink.and i add water from that for humidity .i candled very quickly after i seen a what i thought was a duck bill moving, one was pipped internally well below the air cell so made it a hole it wriggled it 3/4 of it head out so made a little bigger whole.... so I have a egg with a duck head sticking out of it I looked around on the inside quickly to see it's yolk sac .. so it may make it as long as i keep it moist funny sight though..i am keeping a close eye on them as I expect more problems 2 have air cells almost all the way to the bottom but had movement before lockdown, I is repaired on the fat end... and all lacked turning at least for 5 days....
