I have an early bird! I KNEW I heard cheeping while I was tracing air sacks for lock-down! This one was in a real hurry. Not a pip in sight otherwise. I expect a few more early birds tomorrow and hoping for a bunch Friday. What a surprise!

that was like me this morning! I moved them last night, and I woke to 2 pips and 1 chick who was in a rush by 3 pm...I posted earlier about it. She's a Speckled Sussex and I'm calling her Nineteen (for day 19.) Good Luck and I hope your other chicks aren't too far behind!

I cant enter contests but I can still have fun right?

Soo...I stole this from my husband...

...so I could do this...

...without opening the bator! I just stick the mini snake light through the vent hole and voila! I can candle eggs :)...and I have an internal pip!!!

On a separate note, Gilly the guinea keet is still with me! She's snoozin' a whole bunch, like right now...she fell asleep in her food dish!!

:weee :celebrate :bow From an adoptee to an adopter. Thanks for giving some other kids a home! :love

Ok you have me crying again LOL

We truly are the lucky ones. The kids may never quite understand how their lives have changed.

here is a little of the story

The diary thread starts when Lorenzo was a little over one.

If they are anything like me, one day they will understand the magnitude of your generosity. I have met my birth mother, I know her story, I must say, I am glad I was given the life that I have. My biological mother is doing well now but, after she had me she was homeless for several years. Lived in a tent. I was given a steady, loving home where all of my needs were met. My biological mother now has a house and is married to a wonderful man (who is not my biological dad, he passed away) I am proud to call them mom and dad. Although they are not, my mother and father. I totally respect why she had to give me up for adoption. My family expanded in 2001, I found my mom and found out that I had two younger sisters and several nephews and nieces.
Please when they get older don't push them or keep them from finding out about their birth mother. Trust in the fact that they will know who gave them a wonderful childhood and life. Just because they are curious of where they came from doesn't mean they will forget about you. <3

Bless you for taking them into your lives! Please don't cry again.... :hugs
