They're 3 days before Saturday...or 2 days before the Friday before Easter. Did ya get that? lolWoo Hoo, one of my 4 eggs has pippedNow am worried because it is so early.![]()

I don't know what to count once they're all done hatching...will ask tomorrow. Good Luck with yours!
Plastic shelf liner or hatch in cartons helps with the mess. This morning I was going to turn my eggs one last time and put them on lockdown. I decided to put some paper towels under them to keep the bottom of the incubator under the hardware cloth from getting dirty (it is a homemade styrofoam incubator). When I got home from work my humidity was only in the 30s so I decided to remove the paper towels. Now its around 60. I guess I'll just have a filthy incubator. Did I see someone say they used shelf liners? How do you keep your incubator clean?
marshie is still going strong on the 3 eggs she is sitting on! they are supposed to hatch the 29th...9 days after easter.![]()
I haven't candled since day 7.....so I hope everything is still ok.![]()
she is such a cutie!
Quote: Cheeping means they have pipped internally. An exterior pip will be coming soon!
Quote: If they were set within the time frame, they count for the hatch - even if they hatch early. Early hatchers just means your temps are a tad high. IMO, better a bit high than low. At low temps, chicks have leg issues in my experience.
Wow, now THAT is some chicken math!Congrats on the babies!![]()
