Oh no... I now have 2 pips but after close inspection, they pipped opposite of the aircell. :-/ Am I going to need to help them or do you think they will be fine? Never had this happen before.

Mary, leave them for now. See how they look by morning. You may have babies by morning, or they may be the same. By then, there will be a lot of folks on here that can let you know from how the pip looks. Won't get into that now, just give it some time..morning you will know better. I've had a lot hatch from the wrong end.

I routinely give all my hatched Chicks a waterer with vitamin and electrolyte solution for twenty-four hours.

At 1.99 it makes a gazillion gallons of great stress fluid. It also contains Probiotics

I don't bother with a sugar water as they still have yolk reserves.

Wow, it sounds like she is wanting to drink. Go ahead and see what she will take every half an hr. What did she do when you put her down? Was she keeping her head up and still making that swallow/gulp action?

She drank a whole 5 ml dropper of water/electrolytes. When I put her down she kinda sneezed and shook her head. She went to the food bowl a few seconds later but didnt eat any. Then she just kinda stood there and fell asleep like they normally do.
Shes acting very normal other than being small and weak.

Wow, it sounds like she is wanting to drink.  Go ahead and see what she will take every half an hr.  What did she do when you put her down?  Was she keeping her head up and still making that swallow/gulp action?

This is the only really weird thing. She's sitting like this and breathing rather hard. But she will stand upright for a little bit before she does that.

I just took my dog out to go potty. I don't know what the heck was in our woods but he hears some thing and took off like a bat out of you know what. Heard a lot of leaves rusteling and him barking. He came back to me several times to check in before going out again to check if the coops and birds were ok. When he was satisfied that every one was OK we came back in.. What ever it was, probably won't be coming back anytime soon. If he would have caught it it would have been dead.. He has been trained to go after certain animals and leave others alone. He, Winchester, is my pride and joy.

Aw he's adorable. My Lucy looked almost like that when she was a pup. But the Malenois cane out in her as she grew. (Lab/ Belgian Malenois Shepard mix)

Cute photo..this is what I call the paddle walk. They sit on their butts and kind of wattle around until they get strong on their feet.
Boil some eggs. Give her only the yolk part to eat. Just a little at a time..again. Protein will be great for her right now.

unfortunately all of my dogs would rather chase and probably wat the chickens. They have Thor own fence on the opposite side of the property from the coops

Well... I kept an egg in that I had dropped and caused a small dent/crack in. It went against my better judgement, and even when I candled before lockdown it had that bacteria-look to it and I just couldn't take it out for some reason. So not like me!
Anyways, I left it and guess what? The darn thing just hatched!
