Here's a video that was taken in Idaho..there are a lot showing up now.

VERY Cool! I wish I would have read about that and watched for it. Thanks for sharing!

My stacked eggs on top this morning spot tested at 101.3, the bottom eggs were 99.1 so I **think** we survived ok. The new eggs in the other still air bator were heated up so I put the top eggs from the forced air back in the still air with the new eggs, All in one layer now... Whew, Crossies I did not cause any stress or troubles to the little guys! The ones that were on top are on day 12.

Cynthia that is a huge meteor! If that thing landed on earth it made a huge Crater.

It was a 500 pound meteor that burned up in the atmosphere. It was dramatic because it became a fire ball.

The celestial show was caused by a 500-pound (225-kilogram) meteor going 45,000 miles (72,000 kilometers) per hour over western Pennsylvania,

Those are two seperate incidences not the same one. The one in Pennsylvania burned out on the 17 of this month. The one in Idaho was just last night. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm so excited! I talked to the FFA teacher at our school. He's putting out their Ameracaunas so he can give me some hatching eggs and is lending me their incubator so I don't have to invest in one before I try. I have a mix of Maran eggs coming too!! So excited!!

For those with brooding baby chicks in your future. I highly recommend a non-light producing heat source. That way, after the first 3 days when I have a light on day and night, I can provide a more natural hemeral light pattern. I just got a notice that this ceramic emitter is half price till March 1 with free shipping.

They're also more efficient. They can break but if they do, they don't make the mess a lamp makes when it breaks. I've been using them for years and had one break and it just cracks around the neck.
They also come in various wattages from 50-300.
