I hatched out my Birchens and BlackCM using a dry hatch, but after they started hatching I lost control of the humidity and my blueCM developed, but drown in the shell. I since got a Brinsea advanced with the humidity pump I am going to try out for this hatch. Now if I can only figure out how to get it set up and running before I SET ALL THE EGGS!!!

Oh yes!

The tricky part on the humidity pump is to get the tubing going the correct way around the motor...

It can be frustrating but it is likely my fault for not getting it twisted correctly.

Set all mine this morning 21 cream legbars 28 EEs 5 barnevelder/Brahma mixes. Last week 4 mallards and 8 pekin. Got a broody on 8 barnyard mixes and 2 pekin. All together I have 76 set.

Technically mine went in too early, but here they are:





Test run of 47 Muscovy eggs in a Janoel 48 that I bought to use as a NICU. Some eggs are quite dirty, but wasn't sure how much I should try to clean them.

So I got my box of eggs from the PO and the box corners are smashed in and 2 holes poked thru the box. Thank goodness ladycat packs her eggs well. I ordered 18 she sent 20. After seeing the box I thought for sure most were broken but only 3 were. Later today I'll candle them to check out the air cells.
