Important!

Now that the Guess How Many Eggs Will Be Set Contest is closed, we can start getting the actual number of eggs set.

When you are finished setting all of your eggs, please post in this thread how many total eggs you set within the +/- 2 days of the set dates for each type of fowl. If you did not set any eggs, please post that as well.

Recording these numbers is a HUGE job! Thanks @mlmddh . Lets make it easy on him!

I received a text message at 6:52 am saying my eggs arrived at the post office at 5:37am.  I called as soon as I got the text message and they said my package was already out for delivery.  It is now 2:13pm and I haven't received them yet.  It is very warm today and I am praying they will still be intact and not too hot.

That's awful . When is your normal delivery time ?

i hope everyone gets their eggs on time!!!
my dilemma is i need to get my bator up and running...i haven't even cleaned it yet!!

i don't want to wash it bc idk what the bleach would do with eggs in there a day after. all i did from my last hatch is wash it with dish soap...do you think t would be alright without a wash?

I can't really answer your question since this is my first time hatching but I would like to add to your question. Has anyone used white distilled vinager to clean their incubator and if so how much of each?

You can sell them as straight run. Sometimes people do not understand and may come back with cockerels and want a refund.

I would still sell them as straight run chicks though.

I always specify that straight run means I don't know what sex they are.

Hey! I got that incubator as well, how well does it work out for you?

I have 2 of them. They take a lot of patience but I love them. I have been having a lot of trouble with shipped eggs in my circulated air with a turner so I'm going to set all the shipped eggs in the still air and hand turn them. Just make sure you don't keep opening the lid other than to turn and make sure the lid is on straight or it won't keep the temperature steady.
Oh, I should also mention I keep the temp at 102 in the LG still airs, measured at the top of the eggs.
