I have Hatch 3 sets of black copper never had a problem they have all hatch, even a blue with this last hatch, I did raise the temp.

This is a helpful trick I learned from this site a few years ago. You will want to do this if you have an LG or probably any other incubator with a tiny little hard to adjust knob. I just cut a tiny X in the center of a milk jug lid and stuck it on there. Makes it a whole lot easier to adjust without killing the eggs. I don't think I would be able to work my LGs without the milk jug lids.

Really hoping my last batch of eggs arrives tomorrow so I can include them in the HAL!! (Otherwise they will be 2 days outside the window!) I didn't get a shipping confirmation though, so I suspect I will miss the cutoff...
So far, I have set all the eggs! The second run of calls is too late to be included in the count, but the first run looks good! (Candled today!) I have EEs, Toulouse geese, and call ducks cooking now, and am just waiting on the gamefowl. Both incubators are filled to capacity! I'm so excited for the Easter chicksplosion!!!
So, assuming that the gamefowl won't be set until the middle of next week, my totals for eggs that were set within their proper timeframes are:

35 gorgeous Easter Eggers (Thanks Rancher!!)
4 butterscotch call ducks
4 Toulouse geese

Hatch my pretties! Hatch!!!!

I have a question for you fine folks. Would it be terribly bad if I set the majority of my eggs tonight and added a couple tomorrow afternoon? My shipped BCM have rested for a little over 24 hours and I really want to get them in there but I also want to add any eggs laid by my girls tomorrow. :cd More than likely I will only get a single egg from my leghorn but I would still like to add it. She's in with a couple ameraucana boys so I guess the chick would be a SBEL? Mostly I just want a chick with poofy cheeks. I love the poofy cheeks. :love

Wonderful combination. So you stagger the starts so the lock downs happen at the same time. Awesome!

I find myself adding a couple the next day almost every time I hatch. Doesn't seem to affect anything.

Nope, go ahead and set them. That is why we have the window, so you can set them when it's convenient for you.

What does a butterscotch call duck look like?

Quote:ive heard seramas are hard to hatch...it makes me worried

Quote:ooh! where are your BA eggs from??
I had some serama eggs shipped to me a few years ago. Unfortunately, they were shipped in December so they got lost in transit. They showed up a week late. Most developed, but none hatched. I'm pretty sure they would have hatched if usps hadn't messed up.
