Wonderful combination. So you stagger the starts so the lock downs happen at the same time. Awesome!Really hoping my last batch of eggs arrives tomorrow so I can include them in the HAL!! (Otherwise they will be 2 days outside the window!) I didn't get a shipping confirmation though, so I suspect I will miss the cutoff...
So far, I have set all the eggs! The second run of calls is too late to be included in the count, but the first run looks good! (Candled today!) I have EEs, Toulouse geese, and call ducks cooking now, and am just waiting on the gamefowl. Both incubators are filled to capacity! I'm so excited for the Easter chicksplosion!!!
So, assuming that the gamefowl won't be set until the middle of next week, my totals for eggs that were set within their proper timeframes are:
35 gorgeous Easter Eggers (Thanks Rancher!!)
4 butterscotch call ducks
4 Toulouse geese
Hatch my pretties! Hatch!!!!
ive heard seramas are hard to hatch...it makes me worriedHave you hatched these before? I am also hatching Marans eggs. I am worried about what I've heard about them being hard to hatch.
ooh! where are your BA eggs from??I'm in! Black Austrolorps and Ameraucanas
I have a question for you fine folks. Would it be terribly bad if I set the majority of my eggs tonight and added a couple tomorrow afternoon? My shipped BCM have rested for a little over 24 hours and I really want to get them in there but I also want to add any eggs laid by my girls tomorrow.More than likely I will only get a single egg from my leghorn but I would still like to add it. She's in with a couple ameraucana boys so I guess the chick would be a SBEL? Mostly I just want a chick with poofy cheeks. I love the poofy cheeks.![]()

I had some serama eggs shipped to me a few years ago. Unfortunately, they were shipped in December so they got lost in transit. They showed up a week late. Most developed, but none hatched. I'm pretty sure they would have hatched if usps hadn't messed up.Quote:ive heard seramas are hard to hatch...it makes me worried
