Am I seriously the only person with Hova-Bator 1602N? I love that thing!
Of course, I wasn't loving it today when it got hot outside. Made my temps go up to 103.4. I guess it wasn't that high for long since the eggs never got hot.

I ended up putting 3 fans in the room to cool it down. It's not my bator's fault it was 83 in the room.

ETA: I don't have a turner or fan.

I have the 1602n and I love that thing never hatched anything yet. Every time I turn it on to set eggs a hen goes broody so haven't needed to use it...but it is easy to run and use

Yeah, it went between 100 and 100.2 basically, and 98.7 to 99.

Both are good temps to incubate at.

You should have a good hatch!

Did you have to adjust much?

We candled about half of the eggs tonight, and we'll do the rest tomorrow, which is really day 7 anyway. All the Ameraucanas seem to be developing, as are all the Olive Eggers. Though one of the OEs might have a blood ring, it's too early to throw it out. All the SBELs look infertile, but I'd guessed as much.

I didn't get a hygrometer because the guy that I'm borrowing the incubator from says he never uses one. Well I caved and got one and my humidity has been in the 70% for what I have to assume is this whole time. I set my eggs on Saturday. Am I sunk??? :-(.

Okay, good to know! When I first put the spot check in, it read the temp at 103. That was late yesterday. I got it to hold steady at around 100 before I went to bed last night, then woke up to find it down to 97. I think there is too much fluctuation in temp in the room I had the incubator in, so I moved the incubator to my dining room this morning. Since then I've been trying to settle it at around 99.5; like I said, the incubator seems to refuse that temp. It's been holding at 100 or a little above for about an hour and a half now. I'll probably just leave it there.

Did you 'calibrate' it to find out where it reads 75?
