Half the eggs in my bator for this HAL are Silver Spangled Appenzellar Spitzhauben. I'm excited and sooo hope they hatch. Not only will they be my first Spitzhaubens, but my first pure bloods.

Spitz are great!!! The only down side to mine is they like to be free, they jump the chicken yard fence and free range on their own and mine like to sleep in trees. I have to climb up and get them down each night so they can get locked up. But besides that they are my absolute favorite breed of chicken, they have so many pros in my book that the tree roosting doesn't bother me.

They are so beautiful! I can't wait! That pretty much goes with everything I have heard about them...lol The majority of my run is under the trees so this should be fun....lol

Excuse the dirty pen, they are just in my temp. lambing yard, and happened (of course) to be in dirty part for the pictures.
