So I have decided that with my hatch for the HAL having bombed, I am going to try yet again. I'm calibrating the snot out of that thermometer before I set any eggs, too. I must find the problem!
There's always the Cinco De Mayo Turkey Hatch. The threads been started already.

The Cinco De Mayo thread has started, I better find something to hatch!

I joined it about a week ago... I think.

Quote: Yeah, this isn't new for me. My first time trying to hatch EEs was a few years ago for a friend. Not a single one hatched. A few years ago I was given some EE eggs as a surprise with my quail eggs. One hatched, but it failed to thrive. I lost it within a few hours of hatch.

Hey everyone,

So I've got a question. I'm new to incubating eggs and need to know exactly what I should do. My incubator started at a good temp of about 101-97 and it started getting a little colder in their second week staying between 92-100. And a couple days ago I found it had an average of 94. I'm not terribly worried, since my last attempt at incubating failed due to too high of temperatures. But I'm not sure exactly when I should stop turning them and when to raise the humidity BC it almost looks like these eggs are developing a little slower due to the low heat. Does anyone have any advice?
Too low of temperatures can cause problems too. If you are sure your thermometer is accurate, then increase the temperature a bit. Lock them down at the same time, and if they hatch a little late, that's okay.

I set my eggs way to late for the Easter HAL but I had so much fun on the NYHAL I thought I'd follow along with you all.

Here are some of the 16 that I hatched on New Years.

I set my eggs 5-days ago and Have spent 4-days getting caught up on the thread. I know you all are getting close to your final days/hours so good luck to all of you and happy hatching....

Depends on how high it is. Sometimes, just lifting the lid is enough. Some people use rice (or popcorn) to absorb the excess moisture.
I'm like you, I lift the lid, because usually for me that is a quick fix.

For those that have bators, just fill the channels, that is usually good enough. Home made, I would not know..I'm not talented enough to have made one. :/

Okay thank you!
Do you think a temp of 90 every so often could be harmful?

Also, I know it may be hard to see but these are a couple pics of my eggs. It looks like their air bubble may be too small.. But I've had their humidity at 30-40% the whole time. What should I Do? I can't seem to get it lower than 33 right now.

Locked down last night.

Woke up to three babies! Best surprise ever!!!

But, I have one little guy that started zipping and then pooped out. I'm not too nervous yet because I know things can take time, and he's still talking up a storm and squirming around.
I'm just wondering how long should I wait to help? He's been in this same position for over six hours.
