The 6th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!

Wondering if my fellow BYC'ers will do me a favor in between checking for hatchlings, pipers and zippers and posting their progresses on here. That would be wishing my mother-in-law a warm welcome. She finally convinced her husband to build her a coop and she is leaving my house with chickens to start her flock. Her avitar is the coop he built for her, it's pretty awesome. Her username is Nanachicks.

First chick out at 6am.  Others are pippin' & zippin'.  This is so perfect since our grandkids are here visiting & they are seeing their first hatching.  Also pretty cool since the first day they were here, one of our hens laid an egg right in front of them, so they are getting to see the whole process.  So eggciting for these city slicker kids (and for grandma to be able to share this with them)!  

That is so nice that the grand kids from the city get to see Grand's chickens like that.

Oh, they were separated and are banded already. It was just a guessing game for others.

Golden Cuckoo Marans and many more out, pipping and zipping! First out was last night late then woke up at 730am to find 3 more out! Right now total out 8 out (27 lockdown) and several working on it!

What did you use to band them?

I am using these rings recommended by @ronott1 or @KYTinpusher

I ordered the 3 mm but they were too small, 4.5mm were out of stock so ended up with 7 mm but they are working great, so far have not come off.
