Need some advice. I have six shipped SFH eggs in the incubator with bad air cells. They have been sitting up for days up the air cells still move. But I also have two other local mix eggs that are developing and have great air cells.

Question, I will be gone on vaction tonight till Monday, what should I do about turning? Maybe set the mini on minimal turning?

The eggs need to start turning now.

eggs with detached air cells have a 25% chance of hatching. Check into the detached air cell thread. It has a lot of great information.

Have a great vacation.

I need some assistance, please. One of my little chicks can't put weight on it's right leg. I can't see any injuries and am worried it may be a slipped tendon. I am also concerned it may be a physical deformity due to some slight "cording" I can see on the foot in question. Please see pictures below.

Notice "cords" around the center toe on the left.

I gave it some water as soon as I got home after work and it drank with vigor. It can't get around very well. Vent is clean and fine, no bloody stools. Help?

ETA: It won't eat, so I have it a little sugar water and put it in a cup with a napkin on the bottom to try and help it stand better. It's miserable in there

If it's a slipped tendon, the hock will be red and swollen. You can try to slip it back into place by rubbing the tendon over the hock joint, but I've never had luck with that. Compare the hocks on the chick and see if one side is larger.

I don't see any issue with the toe.

Quote: Yep, I'd start turning them now.

So my cross EEs are silked! There is no silked in the bloodline that i know of...their mom is a cross but shows no silkie....and it was brother to sister breeding so i know most of their history except for what their grandmother was.

Thanks you two! The two local eggs are on day 10 and the SFH are on day three. Staggered but oh well, I have another bator if need be.
