Hovabator with an egg turner is the only incubator I have used. Except for keeping an eye on the water level it is pretty much set it and forget it. It will make you look good. I recommend it.

I use this too. I remember one time I poured too much water in, but other than pouring the water in at most once or twice a week, it is a work-free, hassle-free option

I wish to join this year. Ill set sebastopol goose eggs, pekin duck eggs, large fowl and bantams.

so eggcited for the hatch along...Ill be setting 2 incubators,Ill be pulling eggs out of my breeding pens,one with Bantam breeds, Silkies Frizzles sizzles, Red lace blue Bantams and Polish.and bantam Americaunnas. the second will be large fowl,Wellsummers, Speckeled sussex, California whites, red blue lace,golden lace and silver lace wyandottes, and Houdans...and I might order a breed I dont have just for the hatch along!

I ordered green lace wing larvae on the three month plan about 15 years ago and they have established themselves at my place. I have very few aphids:

Hmmm maybe I will do lacewings for mothers day. Or a platypus.

This will be my first time hatching eggs. I have no experience and no equipment.

I think I will buy some fertile eggs from a local supplier, hatch some under a broody buff Orpington. I'll hatch the others under a Hovabator 1588 without an egg turner. I have yet to buy the incubator

Are the emu eggs from your emu? How often does an emu lay? We have one in the neighborhood but she lives alone.

The egg on the right is an OE bred back to a parent. They are cream legbar x Crele penedesenca. The egg on the left is a Partridge Penedesenca egg.

this sounds like FUN!!! to bad I don't have am incubator... I wish I could be apart of this.
