If my roosters are ready in time, who should o cross them with? The roosters are seemingly black stars.

I will only name a few breeds, as I have many different breeds in my flock lol. I have several gold/brown production breeds, wc Polish, EE bantam, Sumatra, Welsummer, Cochin... And a few others that arent located in my layer flock.

What crosses would you all want to see if my roosters are old enough and fertilize the eggs?

Heres one of the roosters (cockerel), Dixon. You can see his future hens behind him . Dixon is the oldest rooster at 10 weeks, he was a week or two younger in this picture though.

Yep, Id like some eggs. My wife, who can't stand chickens, likes frizzles so I'm going to build a bantam pen and maybe she'll learn to enjoy chickens better.

On another note, My first ever batch of eggs are due to hatch tomorrow. Well, we got to watch the first chick hatch tonight.

My workhorse incubator is nearly calibrated for temperature.... and the doorbell rang. UPS had arrived with a brand new Brinsea Octagon 20 Advance. My husband and daughter went all out on a gift for me this year! 
Now I have two incubators to fill for the Easter HAL!!!! e  
Best birthday present ever!

Mine is just as big an enabler - I tell him we are going to pick up more birds and he is more than happy to get them.  I told him we were taking a baby goose road trip this weekend.  My 23 year old was not happy about me wanting more birds, but he never complains! He apparently is looking at getting me a second incubator...

I get eye rolls from my boys! I'm not sure why they give 2 #!@$ how many birds I decide to get or what. I have 4 boys 1 in college and the youngest will be 6 in June. The youngest boy is the only one that enjoys them and helps me with whatever I need. He even helped me build a temp brooder pen last summer! Lol!

I'm going to be cutting it pretty close...if I'm allowed to set on the 15th I'm in. I plan on setting d'Anvers, Sumatras, and seramas.
