Okay, so I'm going to be doing something CRAZY for this year's Easter Hatch-A-Long:

There aren't any grocery stores in my area that sell the fertile chicken eggs by the dozen. Whole Foods, however, will sell me fertile chicken eggs if I commit to at least ****** dozen. They will ship ****** dozen "fertile" chicken eggs to my local store. It comes out to roughly $3.60/dozen.

SO... I will be setting ALL ******* DOZEN Whole Foods "fertile" eggs (typically for eating), as a grand experiment, among my own incubators combined with my SO's incubators...

That's ******** eggs.

I have many, many people offering to buy the chicks (if any hatch) when the time comes at $1.00 - $2.00 each, so I'm not too worried about excess chicks. I'm more curious to see how many of them will actually hatch...

So stay tuned...

So long as your getting them the day after their laid and they dont throw them in the walk in coolers before you get there...you should hatch most all of them. The being said...i think mine were in the fridge for to long.

Hi Peaslee! Yes, it always does haha I have been taking chick orders way earlier than usual this year! Hopefully It will be a fun Spring with this early weather! It's funny there is always a second round after people buy their easter chicks, then they get chicken math, and want more...then they are not around in the feed stores, so keep hatching!
