So I want to hatch certain birds eggs for this HAL. How old is to old to hatch?.I want to get more EEs and only have a small amount of them, and I want to fill my bator for this one. How old has everyone hatched out babies before.

Hatch rates will be lower for eggs older than 2 weeks. Shipped eggs should not be older than 7 days because of the added stress from shipping.

Older eggs will still hatch--I would not set eggs older than 30 days and if I did I would watch them very closely for rotting.

So its safe to start getting the eggs I want as early as say the 2nd and just let them build up until the set date? And is it the same for ducks?

Yes, it is the same for ducks--but set them a week earlier of course

@Cynthia12 I think I'll take my chick over those little wrinkly things. Haha. I would definitely need a bigger brooder!

Yes you would! ha ...did you see what they grow up to be though? I think that's a pretty bird. Funny how some of them start out as ugly little critters. I am glad that chicks start out cute. Once they are fluffed up!
