My hatch that is due to Friday, tommorow, is now starting to hatch. So far 1 Naked Neck from the orange barred pen. There are at least 4 more eggs that have started to peck out.

I have them. There are a lot of colors to choose from. A&M, pheroh, Tibetan, gold, tuxedo, and ever more than that. Then you have normal and jumbo.

@Cynthia12--So I have sticky notes on the bator with arrows pointing to which section of the bator each set of eggs are in with the dates, I am so scared I will get this mixed up lol! I turned some eggs different directions too to help me remember. It's kinda ridiculous. I should not have more than 86 eggs total but I am going to have 134 just for a few days, I am positive a lot of my Oe's won't be fertile so I set tons of them., but I want to wait to candle for another day or two.

Did your stacked eggs get too warm or were they ok?

Now to get all these hatched and get cleaned out and ready for March 14! Lol!

I number all my eggs on the shell with a pencil. Then make a chart. That's how I keep track of when they were collected, when set if staggered, and as I candle them. Makes it really easy. :)

SoManyHats..have I told you that I lived in Winchester VA. back in the 60's? And, that I bet it has changed big time!? That is in fact, where my love for chickens began. In VA. but actually in Stephen City. Not much to that town back then. She had a nice piece of land. I loved collecting those eggs, and, watching the mother hens and chicks.

LOL! Dang it to the sticky notes. AND they don't stick so great to the styrobator. Haha....Writing hatch dates on them is a great idea. They are so covered in sticky notes. Haha  I have written collection dates but never thought of writing set dates or hatch dates. Love the chart idea and numbering...Thanks for the Idea Somanyhats!

Cynthia I am getting another still air bator if you see them on sale around here holler! See, you created a monster a couple years back....your fault :plbb

My fault? Who buys the eggs? You...lol... I am enjoying hatching once in a while now. Plus, I did just get my egg layers today..I posted that on our thread. They will be ready in the late summer I guess..all early layers. Well, except for possibly the RIR's.
