You have convinced me it is possible, and I took the plunge and ordered an STC-1000 off Ebay. Should be here next Wednesday, so plenty of time to figure out how exactly to hook it up to my LG with fan and give it a short test before the hatch-along. I will definitely be referring to both of your pictures and diagrams to get everything in the right place.

Now I am just praying that the 2nd week of March will get above freezing enough so that my Ameraucana eggs from Lark Rise can be shipped up here in time for the Hatch-along...

I came on here to say I had to drop out of the hatch along but clawstar's post made me realise something.
I sent for some welsumer eggs off ebay and have just set them with about 70 of my own eggs (50ish to a tray). I couldn't wait for the hatch along to start. I was just going to do a test hatch to see how my boys are doing before I advertise their eggs as fertile on ebay.
As I have a brinsea 360 I can just put another tray or so in for the hatch along. Does that count as chicken maths or am I just perpetuating my OCD?

Woo! Got a line on some BCM eggs for the HAL. Now if I could just find some SLWs .... *the hunt continues*.. Too bad the parts I ordered for the new bator I'm making won't be here in time. That just gives me an excuse to hatch out more later.

I just sent to article to a male friend who is both red/blue and yellow/green colorblind. I'm dying to find out what color he thinks it is! (I saw white/gold first, then blue/black)

My daughter showed it to me and I see blue & brown. She was like WHAT????

roosters don't count against you when you tell your friends how many chickens you have ...so...only put in eggs that are going to turn into roosters and your OCD can relax with the problem (issue)
