Moved the NYD hatch into their new grow out pen yesterday. They had been on the back porch or in the house FAR TOO LONG! They look a bit lost out there with all that room, but I am sure we are all happier now. I know DH is! We have warm weather but it has been raining for days and more rain is predicted. I put plastic sheeting up to try to keep them dry.my NYD hatch is still inside (ugh!) but we have had an extremely cold winter here. it was nice yesterday and today, but tomorrow night lows are back to single digits and there are still feet of snow outside. Hopefully they will go out in a couple of weeks.![]()
so im almost done collecting eggs....I was aiming to have 3 from each of my birds that I want to hatch from, and im not telling how many birds that will be! LOL
I started collecting Monday, but if we set on the 14th ill either have EXTRA eggs to set, or ill replace my oldest....HMMM what should I do?!
Good Luck andI just joined BYC and I'm so excited to participate. This will be my first time hatching eggs in an incubator and i'm so nervous. WIsh me luck!
oh poo...LOL I not even sure! most of my eggs im hatching are test hatches so I can see if I can ship the eggs. me of them is from a roo covering his sister, and others are from a roo covering his mom and 3 sisters. ive read I can breed brother to sis, but not too much. to play the safe way, seeing how these hatch out, and ill then be selling all the offspring of these guys.Oh, extras. Definitely!![]()
