sorry it is not looking good for you. I too would wait a bit. I missed it what kind of bator do you have PM me if you are looking to sell it with what kind it is I am going to be hatching a lot of eggs here

I agree! I was totally wondering how people wouldn't duplicate numbers as the list got longer! It would be a tedious search, and if you're like me, if your number was already taken you wouldn't notice it when you looked!!!!

Also be sure to search your guess with and without commas (7227 vs. 7,227)

I have seen the beekeeping section on BYH and have skimmed through a bit. We have been talking for years about taking a beekeeping class but every February something comes up and we cant make it to the classes. I really hope next year will be our year

My Dad started be keeping a couple years ago, in his 70s. My parents really enjoy it.

They should have that class in a month other than February. New England is in survival mode in February!!!

I just happen to be starting a batch this weekend so I guess I'm in. I'm trying to see if I can get ANY of my own eggs to hatch. My rooster doesn't seem to be doing his job or is overwhelmed by the number of hens (he has 23 all to himself, lucky buzzard). I find very few fertilized eggs but enough that I know he's not completely infertile and I see him doing his business all the time. So I'm setting an entire incubator full in hopes of getting a few, plus a couple of eggs from my bantams and a dozen from another farm that are hopefully more apt to develop so that I get *something*. The incubator will be full at set, 41 eggs. It's running, everything in place, charts printed and waiting for the eggs. So I'll start with 41 and by day 10 will probably have *maybe* a dozen left and that's being optimistic. We'll see.

don't feel bad I am having the same problem. A fox took his partner roo , this roo seems to have gotten lazy. He needs competition I guess. I have to get another roo.
when I had to roo I hatched 16 of the 20 eggs I sat. this time only hatch 3 of nine. Sold some to a guy he only got 3 out of 21 . That sucks....I opened 6 of the same eggs last night 4 of the six were fertile. Hoping to get some nice roosters to choose from to save.
