Recipe for tomorrow- Crock Pot Corned Beef Brisket

1 Corned Beef Brisket
2 quarts chicken broth
6 fresh or dried bay leaves
Rainbow peppercorns

Place all ingredients in slow cooker, set to low. Enjoy in 24-36 hours. Serve with steamed vegetables, cole slaw, mashed potatoes, or bread. (Or all of the above).

I am late to post, but I set eggs on Saturday. They are from my own flock, and I don't know if the rooster is roostering it up with all the hens, or if he is fertile, so whatever happens will be a surprise. Hopefully, not an exploding rotten egg surprise, because that sounds icky.

I've done corned beef in the crock pot, but not with chicken broth. Sounds yummy!

It would be cool if some of the marans x ccl hatch - wouldn't they be homemade olive eggers? I hope it works. Good luck everyone!

Just had these cuties hatch. Too bad i didnt have any eggs to set in the anconas for the hatchalong but had plenty of chickens!

Beautiful eggs. And yes, Marans/CCL would be olive eggers, possibly even sexable at hatch.
