This may be. Silly question... But can a bantam cochin roo do his manly "job" with a large fowl hen and produce viable eggs? His eggs with other bantams have been fertile so far.
Yes my N/n hen had chicks by my cochin bantam blue roo. They were so cute. A 2 legged predator took the whole pen...of teenagers. ****** me off....

This is my average air cell , really starting to stress. Can not get my humidity down so they will get bigger . There has been very or no change since day 7 and lock down is monday.

Don't stress. I've never traced an air sac, and they hatch just fine.

I got a surprise when I went out to feed and water rabbits today!

Its a long story...but I'm waiting on pips so here it goes!

Around the 2nd of March I took my rabbits a black bunny named Ebony, and a white bunny named Ivory and placed them together in an outdoor pen to enjoy some warm weather and grass...Ebony & Ivory had shared a cage all winter...suddenly Ivory turned on Ebony and was growling and screaming at her...so I separated them and they went on to stay in separate cages...on St. Paddys day my son and his girlfriend brought me a aguti (sp?) colored lop eared buck which I named Frodo... We proceeded to try and mate the bunnys...Ivory wanted nothing to do with him...Ebony was all for it, but wanted to take her turns too! I being a rabbit novice thought it was pretty normal...

Well... Surprise, surprise...here I thought I had plenty of time to get nest boxes ready...I go out to feed and water...and what do I see at the back of Ivory cage? A lil bald black wriggly baby bunny with Its head through the back wire of the cage!...holy cow! This isn't right! It hasn't been 25 days! I look in her shelter box and sure enough at the back of the box is this pile of white fur! I feel around and 5 more little wriggly babies! So...and mind you I'm a big girl, and my skinny dh is at a neighbors, squeeze my too half in the cage and after a few tries manage to grab hold of baby...its still alive! Cold...but alive...I immediately tuck the lil darlin as deep in the fur with the warm ones as I can get it and run around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to find a suitable box that these babies can't crawl out of at least till they get fur! Find the box fit it in the cage and proceed to move the babies...Momma didn't like that at first...she kinda hopped up and scratched at my arm with her front paws, but I talked to her softly and got them moved.., after she hopped in and out of the box 3 or 4 times giving me a heart attack thinking she's going to squish them! She finally settled down!

So yay! Bunnys!

Your lockdown is Monday, that would put you at day 15, so going by where a day 14 air cell should be, that is a adequate air cell. You see a bigger increase between days 14-18 than you do between 7-14 days.

See? You are good.

That looks fine to me for a day 14/15. Relax and do what you've been doing.

I agree with everyone else. Looks ok so far. Try not to stress about it.
