What day is hatch day for everyone?

My hatch day is Friday.
Mine too. :) We will have babies pipping and zipping and hatching.

Excited to report - Set 30 Buckeye eggs. One infertile, one blood ring... the other 28 going strong! Can't wait for Friday. I want to wish everyone a great hatch!

Went to poultry auction yesterday and bought a LF Buff Cochin pair and a Paint Silkie pair, both show quality. Those will be my next incubated eggs!

Hard to believe I've been turning eggs this long..he he..I go into lock down on Tues.!

Hatch set for Friday but my family wants us to come visit on Saturday (across the state so all day event) and I'm already stressing that something will go wrong while I'm gone. Probably the last time I set eggs for a holiday hatch (even though we don't actually, technically celebrate the holiday). I'm still pushing for a different date to get together but so far no one is sympathizing with my position.
Families are funny that way. Back in 2008, mine actually planned an outside late summer reunion on my due date. The reunion got canceled for some reason I think. I had no plans to attend it though.

OMG! I dropped an egg on accident! They have about 3 days left to hatch so I covered the eggs cracks with wax. Let's see if it makes it. I will let them get back to temperature and candle it to see if it's still moving. Any ideas guys?

Today's day 14 for me! I set my eggs near midnight on a Sunday, so hatch day should be Easter Sunday. I'm hoping for an early hatch. People with silkies, do you find that they hatch earlier?

Last time, I hatched seramas out on Day 19. It was pretty nice not having to wait for two more days =)

Are the temps on the chart for still air incubators? My Brinsea recommends 99.6 and thats what I left it at!

Use the temps that work for you.

I incubate in my Brinsea with it set at 100.

The temps in the chart are for internal egg temps. slightly high works well for me and helps avoid sticky chicks at hatch.

I do not use the humidity levels that it show either but love it for the notes and date reminders.
