Okay, I have a ton of chicken grower food, but no chick food. Must the chicks have chick starter food or could they just munch on the grower? If not I'll get some chick starter tomorrow

My chicks that broody hens hatch never get starter, they do free range as soon as the mother hen starts taking them out though.

i picked up a chick a teacher hatched in an agri science class and she gave me food with it. it was the only chick that lived from shipped my pet chicken eggs. they were feeding her gamebird food until i got her..i think the chick food just prepares them better and makes their bones strong.
i call chick food m&ms...LOL the grown ups love it! haha they dont get it often

haha! i dont want to take the wire out because mine is bent and morphed...LOL i sat on it once and kinda bent it...so now i have to tack it to my bator with thumb tacks because it wont bend back straight anymore 

Lol, the weight of the eggs holds mine flat and twisty ties hold it on the top. Might try the one out of my farm innovators this time because it is more substantial. Thinking of locking down tonight but can't decide what I'm doing exactly. I'm up to 5 (possibly 6) broodies. Don't know what I want them to hatch.

Well hell! I accidentally dropped all my Sermas eggs all cracked didn't notice but the one. One did peep but died. I am so ****** at myself! They cost me a lot and they were bur four days from hatching. Ah! I could just kick myself!

When I was transferring them from the auto turner to the incubator. They should have hatched on the 3rd.
