I was still in bed when I posted about the eggs someone sent me, and I was like

Then I got up… and found the temp in my hatcher had gone up to 103.8 as the humidity went down to 16%, and I was like

Why didn't I get up sooner??? I don't even know how long it was that high! I'm glad the temp went back to normal as soon as the humidity was up again, but…. now I'm going to be even more anxious the next few days!! UGH.

I put 15 in lockdown from the 40 I started with. I really hope they make it.

ETA: Of course I set 22 more eggs this morning, so that makes me feel a little better.

Hopefully the spike wasn't that long and won't affect your hatch.

So this morning I go to look at the incubator and my viewing hole is solid condensation! So I quick opened it up and wiped it away only to see that there are two pips and some cheeping! Is there anything I can safely do at this point to reduce the humidity? I kind of panicked when I put the water in and may have had over done it.

Look what woke me up this morning!!! I thought it was DSO getting ready for work! Nope it was my very FIRST hatchling Ever!! (It's a she because I said so too!

)
I found her in the 2 egg cups over from her shell in the bator! She's a mover and a shaker already!!!

I have a Silkie chickie ! ! !

I had to remove the egg turner because the chick was going all over the place, but I have 2 questions - how long can I leave her in there? And tonight at 10:30 pm is when I was going to start "lockdown" but..., ---Will I have to turn the rest of the eggs yet today?
