I have a chick that does that. She hatched on time but I frequently find her flipped over and not being able to get up from that position. And then other chicks start pecking her feet etc. I suspect some sort of ear infection or imbalance disorder.
I hope "she" is okay. I hope yours is okay also. I just worry that the kids are going to find "her" dead in the brooder. When "she" is flipped the other chicks peck at and walk all over "her" and they can get pretty vicious.

Yes chicks could be really vicious. Somehow overnight the chicks managed to spill all their water (I mean all of it) onto their bedding and underlying paper-towels became wet as well. They also managed to spread their feed crumbles all over the place. So she fell in that sticky mixture and could not get up. By the time I woke up to her screams, she was all wet and sticky, worse than a freshly hatched chick and other chicks were standing over her. She was shivering, but I had to give her a bath first, clean her eyes to the best of my abilities but he head still stayed sticky. I first put her in a nursing aquarium with Mr. Splints the chick with splayed legs but she was till shivering. So put her in the incubator for 8 hrs to dry up. Since then, she still manages to flip over every 6-8 hrs but at least there is only one other chick to pick on her. Hopefully she will grow out of it. Only thing I noticed in her is that her left wing is split (there is gap in her feathers).

Anyone knows if that could reduce her ability to get up if she is on her back?

While I was typing, my 5 day old ISBAR boy, made an alarm sound with his neck extended like a rooster. I guess he will mature pretty early.

3 Out Of 6 so far, healthy fluff butts :)

Adding one more to our total. One of the kids eggs hatched this morning! Day 25! Talk about a late bloomer... I am a little worried about this one though. It has already dried and fluffed out. Cute little bugger. Of course the kids want to keep it no matter what. My concern is it seems a little "cooked in the head." The little one keeps flopping onto its back and staying there. When I go to check on it, it just looks up at me like "what?" What should I do about this one? 15/37 = hatched/set
Hopwfully the others stop picking on it. I had one doing that for the first day or two but she quit after that.

I'm on day 15 today 9 out of 12 going strong. Suspense is killing me I can't wait.

I put my one turkey egg in lock down today (day 26). It's with some other eggs that are on day 7, and I'm worried they won't handle a couple days at higher humidity.

Since I don't have a broody and both my incubators are full, this is my only option.
