im thinking all 6 EE cross eggs i hatched i got roos. i got 2 roos from a Japanese cross and i think all sizzle roos....do i really have only one hen? not exaggerating. i think i have all roosters.

any ideas on how i can sell these guys? i was going to start some but what do i do with others?

I know that feeling. So far I think just about all of my favorites are looking/acting like roos, not to mention most that aren't my favorites...lol I just hope that I am wrong.....lol

Do you have pics of your chicks?

I sold half my chicks a few days after hatch, out of my remaining chicks I have 12 males and 9 females.

yeah ill post some in a bit. most are already trying to "fight" and they are getting waddles and pink combs already
The fighting just started yesterday for my Easter babies. Went on all day. One roo has totally distinguished himself as a great flock guard. He is already defending the ladies..
400

No fear.....

I think most of my SY over EEs are roos, although there seems to be a couple hens. I think my frizzle EEs are about 50:50. The Cornish rock over EE are a lot harder to tell, they are all massive, and have compact combs at baseline.. In a few more weeks it will be a lot easier to figure out who is what, but the suspense is killing me!!

Here are my 2 EHAL chicks that I still have. I guessed the BCM was a roo. His daddy (Billy Bad *** AKA Chicken Soup) has been needing to be replaced so that is ok. The lav. orp, who was my only surviving shipped egg, looks to be a roo, if the lack of tail feathers holds with Orp

ingtons. Do people who know better than me agree the lav. orp. is a roo too?

Why do you think cockerel? With orps and lorps I go by comb and wattles. The boy marans has a boy comb. The orpington? I do not think so.

The BCM is a male. All Orps feather in really slowly. I can't see it well enough, but at this stage, based on leg size, I'd say pullet.
