Egg, detached cell, Day 2-3. Was this fertile or what's the deal?

Looks fertile to me =)

I have to share two of my Easter Hal babies. I THINK these are my two EE's as they both had puffy cheeks. One is still noticebly puffy the other you can tell still has a smaller puff/tuft in person...not so much in pics. (I had two green eggs in and both hatched.)

Not so puffy

Puffy
That little puffy is really going to be puffy someday! Cute. I love me some puffy cheeked hens. I find at times, a lot of the puff goes away for a while, then it comes in really full. Strange, but true.

This little baby looks like it is doing fine. Like someone said, they all feather out different. Look at all those pin feathers coming in. You won't be able to tell there was ever baby feathers there some day. :)

Between the puff and the coloring he/she's just stole my affections....lol I'm hoping she because I think the other is he...lol

Thanks! It's so weird how his/her back is so bare, poor thing... Feels so bony.

Puffy cheeks and blue........best of both worlds. I love blue chickens.

My last two, urm, Easter Hal chicks. There were two eggs after the broodies' eggs hatched. The other hens were still trying to lay eggs in the nest. I popped them in the incubator just to see if they would hatch. And they have! The brown one hatched a few days ago and the grey one hatched yesterday. The brown one is a polish frizzle crossed with an EE. She has the puffy cheeks and frizzled feathers but not the head pouf. The other is a Polish crossed with a Barnevelder, and she doesn't have the head pouf either but she is a neat silver color.
