She is cross stepping as well

I got her at the feed store so I don't know. She just started doing it, after she got pecked on the head by my duck

After the peck on the head? She was fine before? That could be your answer. She is pecking at the ground, does she eat? Drink? She may not be able to roost..or, who knows, she may. Even if she can't, you can make sure there is a nest box for her. She just may need a name to go along with her interesting walk. As long as she seems happy, and isn't being pecked on, she may do well with a flock. Keep her away from those ducks though! Pretty white girl. :)

Do what you would do for a football player that has a concussion. The chick has a concussion and it takes weeks to recover from it. What do you do for concussions? Eat, drink water, and most importantly stop the activity that caused the concussion.

With a concussion, you rarely see an injury on the head.

Give the chick time and keep it away from the ducks!

Oh ya. I forgot about you talking about that. I was picturing a younger chick. I was asking because my oldest roo has a lot balance issues but he was from my first (awful hatch) and hatched out day 24. His is developmental delay, I'm sure, but it wasn't noticeable until he started getting physically big. He'll always be "special needs".

I sure hope it's just from the "head injury" and corrects itself.

They say the bird flu isn't a real biggy .. yet. Yes, for the poor farmers and business' that have to cull. What can we do to protect our birds?

Keep wild waterfowl away from your flock. As I understand it, that's the best you can do.

A bunch of people were worried about this at the Stockton Show, and Walt (fowlman) said if you have bird flu in your flock, you know it because you have a lot of birds dying.
