I may need to get some Wheaten/Blue Wheaten Ameraucana eggs to hatch this spring. We sold ours a couple years ago when I was cutting back and now DD is asking to get some back.

Thanks! I got my Wheaten Ameraucana hatching eggs from LarkRise on BYC last Spring. She is in Georgia. I don't know if she is still selling Wheaten AM eggs, but she had lovely birds and sent lots of extra eggs! I would recommend her!

LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Count me in!
I'll likely be setting silkie/sizzle/showgirl eggs from my flock (can sell some if anyone is looking)
Ancona duck eggs also from my flock
And if they lay well, call ducks from my flock :)
welcome!!

My broody turkey lost both her babies today

apparently, they are ready to leave the nest and explore, and she wasn't. It's 32° here. Both were cold on the floor when I found them

so upsetting. I won't be letting any turkeys try again until it's much warmer out. The good news is that it didn't look like there was any damage to the poults which means the rest of the turkeys didn't bother them at all. They just got too cold.
oh no!!!!!!! awwww poor babies!

Im finally caught up again lol. I see contests are well on there way. AND we have Emus being hatched

Many of you are in your test hatch stages, so exciting.

Winter seems to finally hit and stuck here but the birds are managing very well. I sold are Barred Plymouth Rock cockerel over the weekend to a woman that is the daughter of an old time Rock breeder in PA. He breeds to standard and has been to many APA shows along side other great breeders. It was such a fun experience talking with her.

Now that I am down to 2 cockerels I can try to sort my BPR pullets and get my pen set up. Now if only the pullets would lay me some eggs... They are taking FOREVER lol. They are about 9months old so fingers crossed they start soon.

What a beautiful blue egg! The eggs my Ameracaunas lay are super light in color. Almost white until you hold up an actual white egg to it, then you can tell they are blue :/

Wow! Mine has been laying since 5months old. Guess I got lucky with her.

Lost power an hour ago. Have 30 chicks in the brooder and 50 eggs due to hatch next week in the incubator... not worried for now but worried they won't fix it for a few more hours. I am lucky, at least being in florida, it isn't cold out.
