Glad it worked for you! I am pretty positive mine needs to come out. I eat fatty foods and I get that can't even stand up straight stomach pain!

Cynthia, that picture of the two presenting peas is adorable!!

Good luck on the current clutches of eggs being incubated!

C'mon babies!

Wow, get some rest! Hope you feel better soon.

Love looking at quail eggs.

Not generaldhsherman, but 2 of my family members have had their gall bladder out. My MIL is completely fine. My mom, whose gall bladder was 0% functioning when it was removed, has to be careful with really fatty meats. (mostly pork, especially bacon) The longer post surgery, the better it has gotten for both of them. It takes time for your body to adjust to not having it anymore.
Thanks

Can't wait for mrs.fluffers

Your so silly Yokel

WARNING!!! DO NOT PUT DOWN cheese cloth. They get tangled.
I was wondering about that when I saw your pics. Thanks for letting every one know.

A good substitute for that to lay on the incubator floor is the rubbery type shelf liners. I use them and they are great and you can machine wash them after hatch.

Whew ! Finally caught up ! Been out since Sunday. Ended up in the hospital Sunday night with appendicitis, yuck. Felt terrible. They took it out and repaired my herniated navel and let me come home last night. My belly button hurts like crazy, especially when i cough (smoker here). BUT i'm home, on the mend, and back on BYC trying to win a sign. But don't tell LocalYokel. I bet he thinks i gave up.

In case they didn't tell you, hold a pillow across your abdomen when you cough and provide counter pressure during coughing and it won't hurt so much. Veteran of 2 C-sections here.

Glad I caught it fast. One good thing about being obsessed with the hatch. On top of potential problems.

Congratulations! :woot

These eggs are just awesome! I have always loved the look of quail eggs (like small pieces of artwork) and even considered getting quail to raise but so far decided to keep just chickens. I think I would like the eggs and meat though.

The coturnix when hand raised are lovely sweet birds. I have one of those animal playpens that when I clean their cages I put them in. I put the birds in a bucket and they know they are going out on the grass for a while. No trying to fly out or anything. People always told me they were skittish and could start up and even break their own necks on a too tall cage top but I haven't had that problem with mine.
