Hmmm... I knew there was more than one product from Rooster Booster, but I thought there was like an ORIGINAL Rooster Booster or something that would be the product. I don't see anything on their webpage to indicate which product it is.

Could be the Poultry Booster, or the Poultry Cell, or the B-12 supplement, or....

The poultry cell looks like it's the same thing as Canine Red Cell, which @chickadoodles suggested I use to keep the birds she gave me in top breeding shape. I now can't live without the stuff. I haven't seen Blizzard mount any of the hens in his pen, but I cracked open a first egg from one of my young girls for the cats yesterday and that sucker was fertile.

No...You're talking about rooster booster and a rooster who is shooting blanks and doesn't wear under ware. I got that much.

I have am part of a chicken train on the Alabama site. It will happen Feb. 20. It begins at Dothan, Alabama (near the Fla. line), goes through Tuscaloosa (Wisher1000 country) and we are meeting in Huntsville, AL. (I-65) to swap eggs/chickens. I will be returning to near Lebanon, Tennessee on (I-40) if anybody wants to jump on. Just let me know!

They get to pass right by me. I'd take Dude up on his egg offer, but I have to buy a new bator before I can hatch again. I'll get it next month. Maybe y'all can do the train again then!

Doing great! Where have you been? I'm not on BYC as much nowadays but you can find me at "The Old Folks Home" and on the "Icelandic Thread", though it has slowed to a trickle since new posters are lured away by the face guys. I'm always here at the Easter Hatchalong....wouldn't be spring without it!!

I can't even begin to understand why. Even though the admins are awesome on the group, many of the people in it SUCK. Even though there are great answers to many questions on here, they still link to other sites that give lackluster advice. And it's turning into a Chicken Chic cult. Nothing wrong with her, but it's a bit annoying when every post have 15 links to her site and none of the links are relevant to what the OP was asking for.

Trader Joes hens started laying yesterday. Hatched 8-9-15. Well at least one did

I'm supposing they are a white leghorn type bird.

, asked what our plans for the day were and I had to work :/   Today I am OFF!  Okay, I'm "off" everyday but today I don't have to go to work!!  e

Since we will have daytime temps above freezing for the next few days, I will be doing some coop chores today (and some inside housework but I'm not happy to be doing that)!  My DH says he never imaged someone could be happy about cleaning dirty "chicken dishes" and chicken poop, but I am!     Love my flock!! 
I will be:

1. removing the heated dog dish waterers and giving them a few days of rest and put the plain waterers out.
2.  "stirring" the litter and adding some fresh shavings and shredded leaves.
3. checking the nest boxes to see what needs refreshing with new hay
4. hand feeding some meal worms and canned corn for some personal time with my girls and guys

Chores, oh yeah gotta get out and start in mine. Got catch those young pullets and check leg bands and pull them off. I'm to a point that I can recognize the matings.

Gonna try to get done indivudual pictures if the last NNs that hatched.

Who is this Chicken Chic? Is that the blogger?

BYC has a bunch of Guides--There was a contest for writing them recently. I was going to write for hatching dark eggs from Marans, Pennedesenca and etc. I did not get to it though.

If I write one, should I use information from the chic blog?....Naw!

If you write a guide for that I will read it, without a doubt. I have a Marans pullet and I want to hatch some of her eggs, but I'm not even remotely sure how to go about keeping up with them during incubation.
