I actually really wanted some ameracaunas this year but the feed store didn't order them and a minimum ship order is 25 and my husband will not be happy if 25 more baby chicks show up. I already had 3 in the brooder (8 now) and 39 eggs in the incubator. But these were so cute I couldn't pass them by

Very true. I just wanted more colored eggs. One of our free chicks last year is an Easter egger and she leaves me pretty green eggs. I love the variety in our eggs cartons. White, light brown, dark brown, and some green. I would love to add a couple blue layers to our flock. Maybe some more green too.

Sounds fun. I've had nothing but brown eggs for almost 3 years and then just last month added 2 white leghorns that my mother n law couldn't keep. That made brown and white. A few weeks ago my family went to a friends with 2 roosters and she had a mix of 30 different hens and I think seeing the egg colors helped spark my husbands crazy chick buying spree this past week. 30 in less than a week

I don't know of any feed store that orders from them, but there is one hatchery that sells true Ameraucanas. Meyer has BBS and they sell them separately from their EEs.
