I joined a while back pending broody hen cooperation, no hen parked during the right time frame so I'm not participating for numbers...but go figure, today a hen decided to set, lol...

Of course! I have 2 contemplating broodiness too. Both are on at night, but 1 has started sitting during the day too. She may get eggs soon. The other one won't until she is sitting day and night.

I have a pip in the right place! Bantam Barred Rock cochins..and I looked closer .. and in the morning instead of late night at the other..it isn't a pip at the wrong end.

Yes, I laugh at myself...more and more the older I get.

I can so relate. I "hid" 2 bottles of wine that were given to me to save for a special occasion. This was a year ago New Years. I started looking for them at Thanksgiving, and I still haven't found them! They are somewhere in this dang house. My nice husband was going to replace them for me, until he saw that they are $75 per bottle.

Getting old sucks.

I just think this guy looks so cool. He's sold along with all the other chicks that hatched last night. The guys coming tomorrow to pick them up. I want to keep this one but I cant

Aww! If that one was mine, I'd name him either Phantom (of the opera) or Drama. He's so cute!

All 20 eggs now developing healthy veins and my silkie just started setting! Lots of easter chicks hopefully....

Can u tell if eggs were fertile after 14 days of incubation ?

Can u tell if eggs were fertile after 14 days of incubation ?

If you can break an egg open in a ziploc bag, very carefully, maybe the blastodisc wouldn't have disintegrated?
