Hmm... The water pan for humidity is right below the wire floor, so I don't think I could put a magazine under it because it would stop humidity. Guess I'll put the duck eggs in a carton when it's time for lockdown?

I have hatched duck eggs several times and they did fine upright.
It is really a personal preference thing--differences between methods will be very small.
One thing to stress is that incubation [COLOR=800000]temperature[/COLOR] is the most important factor in incubation. If you get that right, you will have good hatch rates.
