The 8th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!!!!

My first time seeing it..had to share...man, I'm glad all chickens don't get that big. I couldn't afford to feed them!
I couldn't afford to feed it either but man I sure would love to have one, or two, or three

Haha, that's gonna be me one day. :gig
Oh, I love it when that happens! Is this your first hatch?
I have an IncuView and have had two very successful hatches with it, 92% and 93%. There are water reservoirs in the bottom, so you lift out the eggs and mesh screen and add the water, and put it back together. It held temp good for me.

Yes

I have a pip in my eggs that came a mess.

I had messaged they guy that I had 10 go into lock down. He told me again that the eggs take 21 .. 22 days to hatch, and have had them go as long as 23.

This egg that has pipped, is a big egg! With a big air sac. It is pipped at the right end, but at the top. I've had them zip sideways..will see. It's a pretty dark speckled egg. He has Welsummers. :) A lot of those made it to lock down. I had a small one .. same coloring rocking earlier.
I can't believe any of them made it to lockdown with the mess they were when they arrived.

Count me in! It is +/- 2 days for set date of Saturday, right?
Yes, anything +/- 2 days of set date counts toward the totals.

Brahmas are massive, and slow maturing. Someday, I'll get a bantam buff brahma hen.

I wish to enter.
Welcome!
