Set the first part of my HAL batch tonight. Two ayam cemani, ten fibro frizzle cross (cemani based) and two leghorns. So 14 tonight, and the rest should be in on Saturday if the PO is kind to me.....
Finally got a goose egg! Too late for the hatchalong though on it

I want Cemanis so bad! Next year, next year.![]()
I got mine from @cjwaldon. Packs them great and beautiful birds. The two pure cemani eggs i set are from her birds that I raised up over the winter. Hatched Labor Day and a consistent layer so far.
double yolked eggs are an egg laying fault. Something is off on the timing and the egg goes back up for the second yolk. It is not good for the hen. Usually they only lay a couple at the beginning of the egg cycle--when first laying eggs or after a molt.My leghorn eggs are massive as well and I've never gotten a double yolker.Kinda wish I would though.![]()

Good luck!!!!!e EGGS ARE SET!
e I only have a weenie little Brinsea so I set 7 total. I have 3 OE's, 1 FBCM, 2 Blue Splash Maran/FBCM cross, and a Blue Andalusian/FBCM cross. I don't know why, but I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for a cutie from my lone white egg! My flock laid these eggs so they didn't travel. Oldest egg was laid within the past 5 days, one OE was laid this morning. I know the FBCM egg looks enormous, but that's the size she consistently lays. I candled it and it's not a double yolker. Not sure how many I can keep, but I'll worry about that later!
