My egg total is 85 chicken eggs can't wait.

Set some eggs earlier today. There's still some room though. Think I'll add the last of the eggs that my girls have laid this afternoon. My plan is to sell a majority of the chicks from this batch.

Is anyone else using a hen to hatch? Am I supposed to use an incubator? If so, I have a hen that will be very angry! And yes, she bites.

Yes I have one. She had 3 eggs. I took those away and gave her 14 colored Easter eggs LOL Now if I can keep the other hens out of the nest. Not so I marked her eggs with a big X.. And yes she bites and growls at me.

I just set 11 chicken eggs to go with the 21 turkey eggs.

Set my eggs today.
6 large fowl polish, lots of colors. (these eggs are GIANT)
15 from Papa's poultry, I asked for 10 from his silkie, frilkie, sizzle pen, and he asked if I could do subs if he didn't have enough, to which I said of course, I love a surprise. So he sent 15, 7 labeled "SSL" and 8 labeled "5/6" or maybe "s/g" ? haha either way it will be a fun surprise to see what hatches!
8 mille fleur cochin bantams that were just too cute to pass up
19 tufted araucanas. (I only ordered 10 -what an amazing seller!) Beautiful green eggs.
10 svart hona - or swedish black hens, GFF lines
7 Modern game bantams. Really wanted more of these but I am having trouble finding sellers and also getting the eggs to hatch, This will be the 3rd batch this year and the first two were a total bust. fingers crossed I was just too eager to get them and the weather was bad, and that these ones will do better
12 Ayam cemani - yep the all black chickens. The seller claims he heavily culls his breeders and only keeps the good ones, so we will see if the chicks prove it either way they will be chickens

There is a slight possibility that I have some large fowl white face black spanish eggs coming too, but they haven't arrived yet so if they make it in time I will post an update.
They are all shipped eggs, and my post office in particular seems to somehow ruin eggs haha AND the weather has been rainy, snowy and below freezing, but fingers crossed I get a good hatch anyways

oh and my 3 year old named them all so they are labeled wacky things like "purple" "cat star" "when you sit in a car and your hair flies around" 'toenail" "my little pony" "banana block" not going to even attempt to figure out who is who when they hatch, she can rename them then haha

Thanks Cynthia!! Yes, TJ's eggs are all Tiny. I only have 4 of my EE eggs in thete...they look like giants!! I had room for probably 5 more, so lots of padding!!
