I hope everyone's eggs are doing well?

I could not resist last night and candled my goose eggs when I did their last turn before bed

Shock horror, 2/3 are developing

I wasn't expecting much from them, if any development at all from them so I'm super pleased they are doing ok. I'm going to candle the chicken eggs tonight

I'm glad the geese are doing well for you! I've got five going now and more being added as they're laid. Don't give up on the third yet, I've had some take as long as ten days to show life

Lol, I guess my count will be much less, because I have ducks on nests all over the yard, and I have no idea when they started sitting.

Silly Ducks!

Ducks are spreading out from the Arboretum at UC Davis too. They nest in the City too. How to they protect against the Raccoons?

The spreadsheet in the first post. It is not a total because many need to post their set numbers still. Banty is working on sending PMs to those that have not posted their numbers.

I candled my eggs tonight and pulled 7 yokers and a blood ring. I am down to 16 eggs. A lot of them are questionoble because I can't see through the shell. I cracked them all open to make sure because I am a beginner (this is my first attempt) and I was correct on what I thought was going on. I am feeling more confident. I have 11 days to go.I can't wait. I can see a couple with veins.

I candled again and all were alive with movement tonight. She is sitting tight to her nest still, despite letting the other little ones cuddle under her.

2 blood rings-What causes them, and what can I do to prevent them?
5 clears-Are clears only caused by fertility?

I took out the seven dead ones and added in 7 buff Orpington. I'm gonna have multi stage hatching, what do I need to do?
