Quick update ~

7 Harlequin have hatched so far but I think the 8th egg is a quitter but I left it in just incase. (Removed 4 clear) No action at all from it and seen as how all the other Harlequin that made it to lockdown have hatched I’m pretty sure.

The Japanese have started to hatch 2 out so far and more pipped

I’m hoping for an incubator full in the morning when I get up! I’m not into these long drawn out hatches. If I’d known the Harlequin were going to hatch sooner I would have put them in a day or two after the Japanese.... as always hindsight is a wonderful thing......

I’ve got neck & back ache from leaning on the work surface & gawping in the incubator

Of my 13 eggs set, 4 are clears, 6 are coming along nicely, and 3 are iffy. Cross my fingers I get at least 2 splash!

One of my eggs has a crack that I sealed up with candle wax. It has a big aircell. I have it propped up for hatch but I'm wondering if I'll need to remove that wax. What if it pips right there? I'd say it's likely to do so.

I feel like my incubator may have been to cool. It is just hours from day 21 and I haven't had an external pip.

Personally I think I would remove it but I’ve never waxed an egg..... hope someone who has will chime in.
