I had to set my Button eggs yesterday. I'm glad I'd been collecting them because it looks like, despite them being inside, they've decided they've had enough for the season (it's autumn here). I cleaned out their cage and that was it - no more eggs laid. I will set a few Coturnix eggs on Tuesday though.

I just candled the quail eggs. One is definitely cracked from the cat knocking the top of the bator out of my hand but it might have been worse. 3 look iffy and the rest look fine but the air cells look big so i added a bit more water . Fingers crossed for a good hatch!

I panicked then and thought I got the date wrong but I’m not doing bobwhite......phew

Where do we post how many eggs we are setting? I'm new to this. I found the thread to add my prediction, but haven't seen where to disclose how many we're actually setting.
