The 9th Annual BYC Easter Hatchalong!

I was late in getting this thread started, I didn't realize Easter is so early this year! So we missed the window for Emu hatchers. If you are going to set Emu eggs, do so by Tuesday the 13th and we will still count your eggs!​

My first batch aren't set to hatch until the March 11th. Can I still join? Any ideas how to hatch and fill as soon as possible? Can I add a batch while the others are hatching? I really want to participate!

I will have 60 or so sulmtaler chicken eggs and around 12 blue Maran eggs setting on Friday this week. Hoping for a good hatch.

Conveniently I have a Buff O hen that decided it’s a good time to go Broody!! Is it coincidence, Divine Intervention or has she been reading this thread?!!

I don’t have Roo so I don’t have fertilized eggs, I really don’t need anymore chickens, but I want to hatch-a-long!

Does anyone in Northern Colorado have any eggs they want to put under Sweetie? You can have the chicks after they hatch. She’s a good sized hen and can probably sit on 12-15 eggs.

I would wait till your hatch of the 11th is done. Disinfect and then start with the Easter hal. I think there is a day or two leeway on setting.
