Hmmmm that's a good idea! I live in a small town and have had 4 different people over the last 6 months ask me if I was selling any of my chickens....i looked at the like they were crazy. Would have been a perfect time for extras!

A friend is providing some Olive Egger eggs from EE and Marans chicks I gifted her a while back, and I'm meeting another friend for lunch tomorrow who'll bring an assortment of mutt eggs from her flock. My feed-snarfing slackers (FBCM) have yet to produce even one egg for the Easter HAL. Humpf!

Our Relatives from San Francisco would not visit us on the Summer because of the heat. Family get to gethers had to be Spring or Fall

Looks like I spoke too soon, USPS can't find our package. Its already been 4 days since it was shipped. I'm so disappointed, it was to be our first hatch and we are doing a homeschool curriculum with at the fun stuff just in time for Easter. Trying to stay positive.....

Ordered the fertile hatching eggs I want on my pet chicken, get them sometime in May.

Setting next Wednesday. Serama eggs only. I'm not sure how many I will set, depends on how much the pullets lay 'til then.

Sweet little birds

My chocolate orpington eggs came in today. They were a day late but arrived in good condition. I'm hoping for a good hatch! I'm sort of thankful that I have 36 eggs shipping out on Monday because I would be a little nervous setting over 60 this weekend lol

So I had the one goose egg that pipped earlier and I think I can see a crack where the second one is starting to pip

Incubator is full for now. 12 Speckled Sussex and testing 14 mutts.

I will be setting French black copper marans!

I found some Button quail eggs out in the aviary today! 6 of them! So I can set a few. Hopefully they'll give me a few more before the 15th.

Set 14 coturnix quail today. It's too early for the HAL, but oh well. I wanted to set chicken eggs for the actual HAL and have these on the side but it is looking like my birds won't cooperate. Come on ladies; it's March and you should be laying now.
