I'm terribly concerned. Having eggs I can't see through.....still waiting.

Dark eggs always get the benefit of the doubt when I hatch them. My rooster likes the Marans hens so I seldom get a blank.
What day are yours at?

My olive eggs I could see veins at day 7 around the AC but since then nothing. They got dark fast!

Well, I think this hatching attempt is a bust. We were trying out a homemade incubator for the first time, so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. Still sad, though. I may try again later this year, we'll see. I did buy a few chicks this week, so I do get to watch some babies grow up.

I have a question about lock down, why are you not supposed to open up the incubator during lockdown? Also, how do you tell which eggs have internally pipped?

I can hear some chicks chirping in there but idk which eggs are chirping or if they are the ducks or the chicks. I can't really see through the little plastic panels either...

looks like there is plastic over the windows. Peel it off and you may be about to see better. You can’t tell which egg is peeping unless you hold it up to your ear. But leave them in the bator.

Can potentially shrink wrap them from drop in humidity. Eggs that internally pipped will have a little beak/movement in the air sack that you have been watching all along.
