The 9th Annual BYC Easter Hatchalong!

I have 3 plugged into it currently. YES. But not for days. Just hours. When I hear.. BEEP BEEP BEEP at 4 in the morning, I know some drunk or a tree took a line out somewhere close. Helps me sleep better, hearing that faint beep. We lost power during Hurricane Irma for seven days. The BBU lasted about 9 hours with one little giant 9300 plugged in.

Interesting I’ll have to look into it. Just got a text from home it’s back on.

The lady I got then from said they were Harlequin (smaller eggs) and Japanese (bigger eggs) of various colours?

Double Blue Laced Barnevelder hatched about 10 minutes ago! Lots of pipping... the Serama is making headway, and another Mottled Sizzle just started zipping. I have pips from Cuckoo and Paint Sizzles, my BCM that had cracks I had to wax, and... superView attachment 1317850 exciting for me -- a Chocolate Orpington has also pipped!

Power is out.
Going to have to get home. Best weather ever and power goes out. Go figure. I have 8 Dark Cornish eggs incubating yet. Not due for a week or so.

I hope they are ok!

Can you see anything when you candle?
Were temps a bit too low?

Seven of eight are out. Last egg had no pip so I took the opertunity to put the others in the brooder. I did candle the last egg. I don’t see an internal pip but I can see a huge vein going right by the air cell. I will give it another day.

I have my first hatch for the EHAL... I have 3 turkey eggs from Auroradream that developed... One of them hatched just a few hours ago!! So hopefully before Easter is over I will have 2 more turkeys a duckling and a bunch of Easter Eggers... Good Luck everyone!!
