Wouldnt say its optional, if you truly want the best possible hatch. More or less, if you forget to turn, or lack the time to turn, its not the end of the world. I set 130 eggs, and got 50 to hatch. 3 had bad leg deformities and had to be euthanized. Other than that though the chicks are doing great, they are almost full grown, healthy birds.So does this mean that turning eggs is optional? This is one study, but surely there must be more research that indicates turning is necessary, or it wouldn't be such a mainstream practice.
LOL I like that. But it would be my luck that the survivors would be roos.I tell my self if I have some that don't hatch they were roosters.
