The adventures of Barbara (BR)

I'm still cracking up over Barbara saying "Does this fence make me look fat?"

Have to love that girl!

OK, OK, OK!! Here are a couple pictures of the Food Man and the Food "Palace" where he keeps the goodies. I use the term "palace" loosely, but the girls do not seem to care. Note that Leroy and Barbara are right in the thick of things, as usual. The silver Ameraucana cockerel in the background comes up to the back door every day and "Trick or Treats" . . . loudly.

Thanks, they are a lot of fun! Walter the huge Wyandotte (who keeps falling off the roost) has been practicing crowing for a couple days now. He will only do it when he is away from the other roosters. I heard him outside my window and thought one of the chickens had been hit by a car. I tore out of the house and there was Walter, snorkling away. Sounded like somebody stepped on him.

I just got the new chickens moved into the jail this afternoon, and haven't had a chance to get their mug shots. They were happy to get out of the cramped cages they traveled in. I don't think the little mottled roo had ever been on grass. . . he was very happy! They bonded immediately.

I just noticed Walter's butt in the second photo in front of the Buff Orpington. His tail is higher than her head. He's got feet big as a turkey's. He may win the Big Butt Award!
